昨日の通勤の１曲目は、Kissの♪I Was Made For Lovin' Youだった。続けてLed Zeppelinの♪移民の歌。ア〜〜！ロックだぜ。 最近はどうかは知らないが、昔々はフォークにしろロックにしろ体制側に立ち向かう反体制という構図になっていた。ベトナム反戦の頃、Love & Peaceを大合唱した時もそうだった。

今日は音楽鑑賞。大好きな曲の中で、Wilie Nelsonが歌うAlways on My Mindというラブソングがある。元々Brenda Leeが1972年に歌い、Elvis Preslyがカバーした曲。1982年にWilie Nelsonが歌い大ヒットした。最近ではPetshop Boysもカバーしている。聞き比べをしてみたが、やはりWilie Nelsonの味のある声が一番素敵だ。
このAlways on My Mindだが、恋人とのこれまでのことを振り返り、いかに彼女を愛していたのに彼女に対して何もしてあげられていなかったことに気づき、もう一度チャンスをもらえるなら君を喜ばせたいと歌うバラードだ。「You were always on my mind（君はいつも僕の心の中にいた）」と繰り返し歌うNelsonの歌声が素敵なのだ。
